I'd recommend using something from
ALFA. They've got some really good products, and they're well known in the network hacking community. Which also means that tutorials are plentiful if you need them.

Ralink RT3572
Ralink RT5572
Realtek RTL8812AU
Ralink RT5370N
only with such a chipset you can attack wifi over some of the linux distribution !

Excellent and well known for pentesting. I also own one of theirs with several antennas.
