phpMyAdmin User Database and Login - Help #1
Hey guys, just a question, because I seem to be stuck on this and no tutorials really explain this in depth.

I have a login form that I want to use. All it consists of is a username and password. There is no registering. All accounts will be created by me on my site in the MySql Database.

Now, I have a table in my phpMyAdmin with 2 columns:
username
password

Now, how do I integrate all of this so that when I use my login form, it will refer to my users that are listed in the MySQL database. (Don't know if I said that right, but in simpler terms, let people login to the account I created for them, on this login page)?

Thanks if you guys can help,

-Kevin

Do you mean, when someone enters the username and password in the login form and press the login button, you want to check whether the username and password combination is a valid one from the mySQL database and if its valid, they'll get logged in right?

All you need is a PHP script that'll query the mySQL database and check whether the entered username-password combination is valid or not and then do whatever you like.

My friend Mediocrity has made a tut exactly for doing this. This is exactly what you're looking for :

Follow the tutorial carefully. Its exactly what you need.
