Guy McPherson disagrees with the majority of the scientific community on this topic and he is a focal point of study on the topic of resource management his entire life. We are at that point now, we just aren't going to immediately see the consequences. We are in that phase where humans can grossly affect their own environment to the degree at which our own actions are a threat to the balance that nature provides for life to exist on this celestial.

I only hope people will find the right sources of information and the key figures who have been beating a dead horse for decades, cause our government and particular special interest mega-corporations have actually known this was the reality in outcome since the mid 60's. If you need proof of these claims, I can provide some insight to where to look but ideally, its all in the pudding. The planet is warmer cause of our interactions, mainly the one factor is pollution that we should be concerned with the most.

Every time I see some news show or story on this topic I just cringe inside, cause instead of doing something about it, and challenging the script the reporters are paid to repeat, we are watching our society deteriorate so some oil company can print trillions of dollars in profits for themselves and their unacknowledged special access programs which by the way have prevented new technologies coming to light that could solve these issues within one generation. These clowns literally think, they are gonna fry the world and ride out the end of times in a space capsule, or on mars or the moon and its literally insanity to deny the science, given our entire planet uses the scientific method to measure progress. It may not always be agreed upon what we see, but we see if we open our eyes nontheless. I hope everyone is opening their eyes.

I am still shocked by the sheet mass of people who ignore the science. And it's not complicated science. Really basic, observable stuff.

Although, to add another layer to this, humanity has actually been somewhat aware of our impact on climate change since the 1800s. It was largely ignored until the 60s. By which point only particular groups were taking notice. Now it's a much more global focus, but nobody is really doing enough about it.

Hi,global warming, driven primarily by human activities such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation, has significant impacts on our environment and the communities living in it. One of the consequences of global warming is rising sea levels due to the melting of glaciers and polar ice caps. As a result, coastal regions are experiencing increased flooding and erosion, which can lead to the migration or displacement of communities, including those living in mountainous areas.

Summers are definetly hotter. We almost have no snow in the cold seasons anymore. We have a big garden and we never experienced as much time without rain like 1 months ago, the soil was dried up and the plants grew shitty. Overall worse weather.

Summer has been brutal here. Probably one of the worst summers I can remember , South western US.

I know right? I am honestly concerned for our future. Pollution is rarely the subject matter of conversations on the news or at those cpac meetings, the world leader meetings either.

Id love to challenge you on this and have a proper conversation!

I'm gonna assume you are talking about fossil fuels and the burning of C02 which enters our atmosphere and "warms the planet". It doesn't.

Again you've probably heard that there is a direct correlation between the amount of C02 in our atmosphere, and the temperature of the planet. That is to say that mainstream scientists will tell you that the amount of C02 in our atmosphere, is the cause of climate change. This is false.

C02 is a product of climate change, not the cause. The earth gets warmer........ a few hundred years pass.............the C02 level increases. and vice versa
The earth gets colder........ a few hundred years pass.............the C02 level decreases.

Mainstream scientists tell you its the other way, that C02 increases, then the earth warms. Its a lie. Its a lie. Its a lie. We are not warming the planet with fossil fuels climate change is man made its a hoax to further an agenda. (if you want more details i can go into them)

They lied about climate change to push us into electric vehicles which actually emit radiation and are harmful to the human race Smile

Humans only make up a tiny tiny amount of the C02 in the atmosphere WE ARE NOT TO BLAME ITS A HOAX GUYS.

They tell you not fly or drive your car too much whilst they literally fly 43 trips in a year on their private jet.

Straight up hypocrisy this guy is setting rules for the public that he wont follow cos he knows its a sham. If anyone wants to bring up ice caps melting and rising sea levels - ill debunk you in a minute flat Smile

This is true. And that's not to say non-climate related issues aren't important, but there's a really almost unpassable scope of things to work on when it comes to environment, like air pollution, microplastics, the Great Pacific Garbage Patch etc.

Will I don't believe humanity is 100% responsible in themselves (though that's never been the claim - the claim is we're speeding up the process), I have literally observed climate change in my lifetime. There's a divide between those who believe humanity is the main driver of climate change, those who disagree with the cause, but confirm climate change is happening, and those who deny any kind of change is occurring. All backed by different "scientific experts".

Whose fault it is doesn't matter in my opinion. What we're going to do about it, does matter. If for no other reason than to preserve people's lives and livelihoods in the places that stand to be hit the worst. Mitigation and adaption are needed. How and when we achieve that (and what happens to people in-between) is what the real stakes are.
