You need to figure out the ports on the VM. It's creating a session but you can't interact with it because it's being blocked by the VM or your firewall.

Do I need to create a firewall exception from control panel on the host, or what exactly do you mean?

Have you tried an inverse of that setup yet? Running njRat from the VM, and infecting your host machine?
