It's totally worth it to me. I read at night nearly every night and I love that I can make the screen black so that it doesn't keep my brain awake. I also travel occasionally and just put the Kindle in my carry-on bag and I'm entertained for the entire flight. Recently, I started a 3-month free trial with Kindle Unlimited, so I can read/borrow all kinds of books that I would normally buy.

I quite enjoy it since I do not want to buy so many physical books

Not for me. I have enough devices already and don't need or want something that's only purpose is for reading books. If I have an e-book to read I'll just use a tablet or PC.

Ye I had one and lost it, surprising amount of utility. Great if you travel a lot
