My favorite one (but mainly because it's the only one I've used more than anything else) would be BackTrack because it has the hacking essentials, but if you're asking in a non-hacking sense, then Ubuntu.
Code:
[5:42:25 PM] i0xillusi0n: Breshie don't bust a nut over chloe now
[5:42:31 PM] Entity: fapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfap
[5:42:33 PM] Jigglypuff | SL: EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

My current favourite is Mint. Yeah, I know. I've always got on with it and I just generally love it. I've also tried Ubuntu and Fedora. Mint is the only one that I managed to keep using, I used it for a good 7 months. I'm currently running Fedora, and although I do like it, it's just not good enough for me. The sound doesn't work too good and neither do skype calls.

Recently I've been getting into the new Backtrack, or Kali. It is so much more user friendly.
