Wordlist Generator #1
Greetings everyone,

Here's a wordlist generator that provides a comprehensive list based on preferences via user-Input. I've had It sitting on my external for a quite a while, and thought It may come to good use for the community here.
The duration taken to generate a given wordlist, depends on the selected algorithm, hence patience Is expected when choosing something of a higher capacity.

Full credit goes to the original author/creator, you know who you are.

Why would anyone use this over a regular word list?

Or using a regular brute force list through some type of tamper filter?

I'm not trying to be an ass here... I legit don't understand what this is doing differently then all of the other brute force tools+list.

It's probably good for something, but I'd rather use my own Ruby generator. This looks overly l33t which makes me think there's better ways to go about doing it.

OT: thanks for VS

There's a difference between a "regular" wordlist, and a "comprehensive" wordlist, with the latter falling In this scenario, thus can be generated with this tool.

If you have other tools at your disposal, then great, be It as It may. For those who don't, they'll certainly find this of benefit.

Care to defend your claim?

What constitutes a "comprehensive" wordlist? Is it every possible combination? Is it doing some trick that is going to result in better guesses, if so what?

If your going to give me another vague "believe me because I say so" response... don't bother responding.... Those types of responses are worthless.

by comprehensive he may mean that you can specify certain parameters for the words it generates. This would be helpful if you know the general password scheme being used by the target, which would allow you to generate passwords matching that scheme.

Sometimes you can glean info about what may be in a password based on what you learn about the target. I'm not sure though, hoping for an actual answer because I too am interested and I am just speculating.

What's vague pertaining to the term "comprehensive?". I cannot fathom how you fail to comprehend such a simplistic term.

"Comprehensive" Is superior to "regular". The degree of It's superiority (In this case) depends on the level of user-Input In generating a given wordlist. With regards to the tool Itself, It's as simple as that.

I'll be honest. I consider myself a pretty smart person, and I also don't really follow what you're trying to say about "comprehensive." Can you maybe give an example of "regular" vs "comprehensive" in terms of a word list?

Okay, here's an analogy (yes an "analogy")..

A regular Password Is 6 characters In length, no special chars, alpha-numeric combinations, nothing. A comprehensive Password Is 10 characters In length- with combinations of special chars & alpha-numeric characters. Apply the "comprehensive" combination to a given wordlist (In comparison to a "regular" combination), and there you have It.

It's not my Intention to cause a debate nor any form of hostility or animosity here. I'm just at a loss as to how the term "comprehensive" Is beyond comprehension.

The way you're using it is just a bit ambiguous is all. You're "comprehensive" password is my "regular" one, lol.

I have not heard the word comprehensive used to describe a specific style of word list. We just call it a dictionary file.

None the less this is a cool share, thx for the contribution, I like it.
