Witcher 3: Main Quest to be 50 Hours 03-07-2013, 09:36 PM

Due to a recent post made on a German website, we now know that the new addition to the Witcher series will feature a 50 hour campaign. However, unlike previous installments of the series, this game will feature an open world aspect that the others did not. The main quest of Witcher’s 3 is said to last an estimated 50 hours to complete, which is significantly longer than what is not only normal for the series, but for any game in general. The 50 hour mark is set without including side quests or other character quests. The goal behind the massive campaign is to beat Skyrim at everything they have done, and to rise to the top of open-world games. In order to compete with Skyrim, the developers knew that they would have to improve upon some other things including adding horses to the game for buying and taming, Geralt will be more athletic, quick time events are removed, and hunting gives Geralt crafting materials for money rather than experience. Witcher’s 3: The Wild Hunt is set for release in 2014.
