Okay, whatever. I assumed you made this thread to actually ask a question, but you've been defending this shitty language with no material the entire time.
It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

Java is still widely used because of Android. I don't hate it but there are younger, more dynamic languages out there. I think Java is still a great beginners language. Choosing a language all depends on what you will utilize it for. This is only my opinion. I think everyone should experience a language for themselves and decide their own verdict. I would recommend learning Ruby or Python before any other. Again, all this is an opinion.

My understanding is the reason people hate java is because its slow, bloated, and filled with vulnerabilities. There's alot more efficient languages for application programing available.
