Because my mind is of my own and my my thoughts are of my own conjuration. Smile

I believe things happen for a reason, may they have explanations or not.

I can also pose the question; Why do you choose to not believe in something even though you have no proof of it's non-existance?

Just like every debate, unless solid proof is provided for each side, every person will stick to his / her opinion and views. :o

To answer your question, I personally don't believe in anything due to me having to follow imaginary "rules/morals" given to me by a non-existant being.
If my time comes and I actually meet this creature, I'll repent against my sins as he's essentially a "forgiver."
He was also created by people just as every other "dead" religion or "living" one, so there is bound to be mistakes.

Because that's silly. I don't believe in god just like I don't believe in unicorns or fire-breathing walruses.

It just allows us to exist, it has no thought. That is my 'God' and there is no need to pray to it. Just respect it, and try to figure out as much as you can. Ultimately, it's based on science and fact.

That's the first time I've ever heard of this belief.
I'll have to do some research on it in my spare time.

Not to contradict myself here, but in this case would you not believe in Extra Terrestrials?
There is no proof that they actually exist, so they'd be similar to unicorns or fire-breathing walruses.

No, I don't believe in extra terrestrials. In essence, they're just as unproven as god except through media and movies and whatnot, the possible existence of aliens has been embedded into our society, as far-fetched as the idea actually is.

I would love for others to "see the light." I shall convert you.....

Kidding. I have yet to meet another person that knows what it is. Even my wife calls me a paleontologist. Biggrin

Well, I have a lot of faith in the divine. It's not like I'm religious but one should believe in scriptures.

I am 100% atheist. I just was never brought up to believe in anything and I personally dont see logic in one existing.

However i respect people who do believe as long as they dont try and push me into believing.
