Although i understand the reason you were shocked and why you would want to avoid meeting her/him again, i don't really think you should avoid your usual bar because of it. And just like Lux I think you should just go that place and maybe give a warning to the others just in case, and when you bump into him/her, maybe apologize. I can agree with what you're saying. But she really should of told him earlier on, but then again if she looks feminine enough to 'trick you' and not realize. Maybe it isn't a big deal. But I think he should return to talk to her. Then again the reaction is understandable but also a little unreasonable. And props to you for sharing that. <3

She passes as a female. If she is pre op then it's a different story, but saying 'I'm transgender' doesn't mean pre op.

I agree. Life is hard for transgender people. I've known a few in my life. If you don't want to be with a woman like that, it's understandable, but using words like tranny & calling her a dude or whatever are really not cool. I notice a lot of hateful words are spouted on this forum (both in joking & in seriousness), and I don't expect that to change, but the pain & humiliation that a typical transgender person goes through is nothing to make light of, & something that drives you so hard to the point of changing your sexual organs (among other things) should be treated with a little more respect than that. Im certainly not picking on you or anything, I am sorry that you had to deal with an akward situation like that, but I would say just chalk it up to it being a weird situation for everyone & move on.

I'll gladly say that he's wrong. I don't really get mad about a whole lot of things but I'm so sick of hearing these type of comments from people & seeing the pain that it causes someone while the other person, who prolly didn't have nearly as much pain in their life just laugh about it & shrug it off.
