Hey guys, I'm just curious, who here was a blackhat before?
I know I was a blackhat a while, it wasn't for money or something,
it was mostly because I didn't really understand the term "hacking" really.
I have to admit I've done some illegal stuff in my days of hacking.~
So, is there anyone out there that's also been a blackhat?

I, too, was a blackhat. I can't lie about that.
Though, I wont say what I have done in order to make myself be titled as one.
I'd imagine that everyone here has been involved with blackhat activity at one point or another.

Back about 5 months, I was screwing with Brutus and I shut down my school's network for a bit.
I guess that qualifies as blackhat.. (I had no idea what the hell I was doing, I was just pushing buttons xD)
It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

I dislike the hat classification - but I will say that I was never a malicious hacker. And this is going all the way back to when I started in the late 90's. That doesnt mean curiosity never got the best of me. but i wasnt causing damage or problems.
