It really hurts me to see all these children and individuals with autism and other mental debilitating illnesses be abused or assaulted or bullied by other people. There was recently a video I saw online of a boy being assaulted by two kids because he's autistic. It hurts my heart that they suffer in a world that's already different and difficult for them in ways they can't even express or recognize but yet are impacted and subjected to abuse and unnecessary violence.

a family member recently came home from a 14 hour flight and told me they were sitting beside a 10 year old or so autistic child, completely by himself.

he was crying and shaking like no other

saying hes going home to meet his mother and father.

i really hope they didn't witness some type of trafficking event.

i pray the worst onto those.
some of the most mind-boggingly gifted people i have met were ones with autism.

Im so grateful for all the medical professionals that decide they want to become ABA's and hell these children with special needs learn to function in society and understand/express their behaviors and emotions in a way they never could without additional guidance.
