Who is God? 08-02-2013, 01:57 AM

The normal question I see is 'Do you believe in God?', but no one ever asks WHO he is.
So, who is God?

God is a supernatural being composed of 3 minds into one, The Father, The Son, and the holy spirit. Jesus was gods son born of the Virgin Mary sent to earth to die and relieve us from our sins. Also if you were wondering if I believe, yes I do.

You will get differing answers from many different people. Which is why in discussions/debates you should always clarify what religion it is you are referring to.
I guess right now, I would say God is just an idea. But I haven't looked into my own beliefs long enough to know how I feel about a "God".

Chaos, its any God.
In my eyes, God is a contradiction.

God is what you want it to be. It's an undefinable term. I see god as an externalized ego from humans. He/she is allowed to do all that man is not allowed to do. Such as kill, love everybody, perform actions with no apparent consequence. Just because a man has an ego and cannot accept it he externalizes it on to a anthropomorphic deity. That is God to me.

Who is God is a question with no answer because of peoples' interpretations of 'god'. Some people see god as a supernatural being, some people see god as an archetype. Some people, including myself, think the concept of 'god' is a load of bollocks and should be replaced with something less fictional.
I see godhood in myself. I am the center of my universe. Sure, I believe that there has to exist some sort of supernatural presence to create the energy our universe. Sure I think something is responsible for our existence. But no, I don't think we can call it a 'god' in the traditional sense of the word because that's on a much lower level than what I'm referring to. This supernatural presence has no business being in our lives, it simply created all that is conceivable and inconceivable to us. I cannot explain it.

There's no god, in any religion.
Human only need to believe in something.
