I haven't noticed. I think its who you spend your time with really. If you spend more time with people who smoke weed, you will hear about it more.

Well, I also say this in reference to the changing states in terms of legislature.

I lived 2 houses down from weed smokers and lived with a girl (for two years) who would go home and take weed, drink alcohol and take ecstasy over breaks from uni, so I can't say my time spent with individuals who smoke has changed. But I would say, the number of people openly talking about it (including those I knew years ago, who have suddenly started being more open in regards to weed) has been pretty interesting to observe. Then again, this is just what I've seen. Perhaps some places of open discussion have always seen this kind of open discussion about it.

Anyone else feel the same or different from me? I'm curious.

I don't entirely do drugs. I hate taking things.

Moved thread to stoner discussion, didn't realize where it was until now.
It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

I don't smoke weed. I find no incentive / enjoyment out of smoking weed. I don't understand the massive appeal to it.

The easing of anxiety, pain and a generally nice feeling? People who smoke it may have more to add, this is really from general knowledge.
Though it's a different sensation from being drunk, concepts are similar - It can alter your state of mind. That's often what the point is.
