Which companies will come out even richer? #1
Definitely Amazon, but which other companies do you think will profit greatly from this pandemic?

Quote:Amazon announced on Monday that it will be hiring 100,000 extra US workers to deal with the influx, as well as upping regular pay by $2 per hour.

In my country, every supermarket has shortages and from what I've been told, they'll be restocking their shelves In huge quantities.

Toilet paper companies, hand sanitizer companies, streaming providers, and maybe alcohol companies. ISPs will probably just be stressed to their limits. Since everyone is already paying for their internet, unless people get fed up with their speeds, service providers wont be making much extra. I'm surprised there haven't been any hiccups in my area.

Definitely. A lot of people are getting paid holiday or being forced to stay home. People are also using Everclear to make hand sanitizer.

I've been to every major supermarket, and there's not one roll (let alone a pack) of toilet paper on the shelves. The moment they stock It, It's gone within the hour.

Luckily, I have around 35 rolls on hand.

I would also add the below to the list:

- IT companies: They are going to be inundated with work as companies attempt to get employees able to work from home. There is a large capability for particular businesses to work virtually.
- Some manufacturers may also do well, specifically those who mold plastics and can create parts for medical equipment. By extension, companies who create face masks and other PPE.
- Social media advertising and online streaming platforms such as twitch, where people are spending more time online from their homes.
- Deliveroo, uber eats and other food delivery services.

If you spend the time to think about it, there's a lot more than just supermarkets (including related suppliers) and amazon who can benefit. There's always opportunity in a crisis.
