I'd like to hear you guys' opinions on cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. Crypto has been attacked a lot this year. Quite a bit by the people crypto has pledged to decentralize from, governments. And most recently China threatened to crack down on crypto. And economists will say one of two things, crypto will be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, or, crypto will die out within a few years. What do you guys predict?

It's hard to fathom how they're predicting crypto's future from one extreme to the other.

It'd be nice to read a more realistic prediction based on factual analysis.

At the moment bitcoin is down. I think that due to limitation of bitcoins every time around Christmas the value is up. This year the lowest was in March which means if you have bought $50 in March in August you would have $100 to $120.

For 2020 it will continue the trend, it will have ups and downs but it won't go to the moon (Like YT users are saying)

i personally think crypto will be the future, but its hard to say if BTC will be the lead crypto in a few years. its slow, high transaction fees, and places like china are cracking down on it. eth, xtz. eos, maybe xrp, eos or neo, iota, i think will be here in the future. the only thing i can see btc useable in the future is for once in a while high value transactions. buying land for instance.

Crypto will only ever be a speculative, fiat hiding, hopefully great one day, currency. It will never be adopted by mainstream.

It's hard to tell where crypto is going. I mean it's definitely going to play an important role in the not so long future, but I have a feeling that it will become more and more regulated. Likely to how the internet was over the time, and that it's quite frightening since it defeats the whole purpose of decentralization and blockchain
