That's what I've used my 3Bs for apart from going in the Pi-Top enclosure - they do a pretty good job anyways as long as it isn't too high demand of a task. Some of them like say RetroPie and Kodi can go together as they're both on a Debian (or Raspbian) base which makes it nice and easy, just depends on the size of your SD cards.

You could use Pi-Hole (https://pi-hole.net/) to run a network-wide DNS based ad-blocker. Works like a charm if fed with good lists

Not exactly like this one but quite similar.

HAHA MINE USED TO BE ONE. I love SDR technology. I just use my Windows 10 for it. The Pi struggles a lot at times when running it as a server.

SDRsharp is the best software to be completely honest. I am thinking about getting an upgraded SDR.

There's a few routes you can go, either the easy way for a simple local FM broadcast like this MagPi article describes:

I've tried multiple attempts at using my Pi as an SDR but at the end of the day compared to my daily drivers, mainly a Genesis G11 and G59, it just doesn't work nearly as well (although it is doable) - just please, as KD0CQ says, put some sort of filter on if you're going to transmit with a design like they posted or else you'll probably get the FCC to notice you which is never going to be a fun time.

I've tried running an IDS system on a mini-server with 4 GB of RAM (it was ELK stack) and the whole thing burned up almost instantly. I remember running HTOP and every bar for the cores was at 100%...and I hadn't even sent any packets to it yet...

So a little HoneyPot tripwire would be best. Or maybe set up an Apache Web Server on it and see how secure you can make it. It's harder than it looks. Apache was deisgned in like 94 and gives no fucks about UX or usability or sensable configuration.
