What should I buy for Kali PenTesting

As the title states I am wondering what device would be recommended to buy with specific use for Kali. I am not planing to use anything else then Kali either.

If any questions please ask me.

Price range: Preferably under 1000$

Really doesn't matter. if its a casual use kinda thing - i'd go cheap. shit might take a little longer but it will get there eventually. if you're really gonna get into it, buy the best that you can afford.

regardless of the base model though - you're probably going to want to put some money aside for some better wireless adapters. depending on the type of attacks you want to perform, you may want at least 2 - should support raw frame injection and all that shiznat. and you'll probably want some better wireless antenna's.

Well that didn't really help much with pinpointing the one I should buy

There's a dozen major brands and hundreds of devices that will run kali just fine. Linux is not a mystical magical operating system that will only run on a couple of platforms. So buy the best one that you can afford. Just about none of them will have the wireless chipsets that you want though which is why I pointed out you will want to seek out a proper wifi adapter or two.

Why would you want to buy a whole other computer just for Kali? It isn't stable as a main OS whatsoever... I guarantee that you won't use 3/4 of the tools on there anyways. Assuming you're not stupid, just use a fresh copy of Debian and install whatever tools you need on there. While it might take longer, at least your HDD isn't filled up with a ton of things you'll never touch.

I currently have no portable one that would suffice that's why I want one

I'll state the obvious here, why not just Install Kali on a VM?

I have some limitations with my system, not being portable etc. That's why I want it

Yes, this. Thank you for hitting in the wireless. Many wireless adapters don't support the fun things you can do w/ wifi.

I have to disagree with you on the point above.

With very minor adjustments (like making a non-priv'd user) Kali can be a completely acceptable and functional primary OS. It's build from Debian after all, which is known for its stability. Previous iterations (BackTrack for example) were less than fantastic for Main OS purposes, but Kali is a redesign so some of the "conventional wisdom" regarding this distro doesn't always apply.
