I don't understand how people could be blind to PHP's downfall. PHP has been getting murdered by JavaScript's rapidly growing collection of frameworks and attention. If you want to find a job with a modern company, I suggest you switch now before you yourself become deprecated as a programmer. Lol

That depends on the zone in where you live, in example if you're going to work as a web applications developer here in south america you must know PHP, you could be a master in Django, RoR, ASP or whatever, but if you don't know PHP you're going to have a hard time getting a job in a company, because pretty much all of them code in PHP (which sucks, tbh)

I'm talking about the bigger companies. Basically if you ever want to be hired w/o freelancing yourself.
