But I will say, division is basically making equal groups out of a set number of x. If there's 0 groups, x exists as a singular whole still. So IMHO divide by zero is a waste of time with everyone flipping shit about how its so impossible. Its a concept. Its up for debate. Numbers don't exist anyways.

Division and multiplication are opposites. 10x5=50, 50/5=10, 50\10=5. Anything multiplied by 0 is 0. 10x0=0. 20x0=0. 30x0=0. So how would you even get 10/0? That wouldn't even come up in a calculation unless you've done something wrong.

Another concept that's similar to this is that of imaginary numbers. 3x3 = 9 so sqrt(9) = 3. -3x-3=9 so again, sqrt(9)=3. No number can square and give you a minus, so what's sqrt(-1)? They created a whole new number system just to answer this question. sqrt(-1) = i

It's a pretty nice system for something imaginary.

Whichever way you look at it, the algorithm that's used to divide, doesn't work when something is divided by 0.

Nice isn't the word I'd use. Math and numbers are a creation of man to give regulation to amounts.

What algorithm are you referencing? The one based on multiplication?

Let's look at multiplication and why 6x0=0

If 1x6=6, we can assume 6=1x6. If 2x6=12, 12=2x6
Because 1x6=6, 2x6=6+6, 3x6=6+6+6, etc.
That is because yΓ—6 is defined by how many times it is multiplied. Without having itself at least once, in the case of 0Γ—6, there isn't anything there on the first place.
However, when you look at division, you start with 6, and divide it into x groups.
Regardless if you divide with 2, 3, 1, 6, 0, etc, you always have an amount of 6 within it, just separated.
E.g., I have six o's

oooooo

I want those os to be divided by two

<ooo> <ooo>

Each of two groups has 3, therefore 3.

I have 6 os

oooooo

I want those os to be divided by three

<oo><oo><oo>

Each of three groups has 2, therefore 3

I have 6 os

oooooo

I want those os to be divided by 0

oooooo

Each of those 0 groups has 0. However I have os ungrouped. Therefore I have 6 os.

And maths is pretty fucking perfect. They way that 100 people around the world can do the same problem different ways and get the same answer. Maths, and especially algebra, requires intellect, and is more a puzzle than anything else. Fuck what they teach you in school, if you really think and solve a problem on your own, using your own methods, the feeling you get... You'll love maths.

I'm not saying it equals 10. I'm saying, if you separate it into 0 groups. There is 0 in the nonexistent group. However, there is 10 still there.

You have six cookies on a plate in the middle of the table. The rule is that everyone eats equally.

If all six wants cookies, each gets 1. If five want cookies, each gets 1, and 1/5th of the last.
If 4, each get one, and 1/2 goes to each from the last two. If 3, each gets two cookies. If two, each gets three cookies. If 1, they get 6 cookies.

If nobody wants cookies, then nobody eats the cookies.
But the cookies are still there on the plate in the middle.

I get it blud.You're spending a lot of time trying to explain it. 10/0 is no calculation at all, so just stick with ten.
