Ayy, no optical drive. Sometimes I need to plug mine in and lay my case sideways but I let this guy borrow my only sata cable now I can't do it anymore.

I have an external or a laptop I use in the very few occasions I need an optical drive. It would have been a waste of money to spend on an optical drive for this machine.

Wow my rig is shit compared to your guys' stuff.

here's my going on 3 year old rig:

FX-8350 stock clock 4.0GHz
16GB DDR3 1600
Gigabyte Radeon HD 7950, also stock clock
random assorted hard drives totaling 2.5TB and some change
750 watt Rosewill Hive PSU
Asus 24.6" 1080p display and some random acer 720p second monitor
Internal Blu-ray drive for ripping purposes.

This thing is pretty much my gaming rig and plex server, it does what I need it to do for now, might upgrade GPU in the near future for some promising up and coming DX12 games.

Very respectable specs.

Have you benchmarked It as yet? If not, It'll be Interesting to see what It gets via 3DMark 11.

On the Desk (the more interesting stuff, not listing everything)
Corsair Vengeance K70 Keyboard - Cherry MX Blue, Red LEDs
Corsair Vengeance M65 Mouse
Wacom Bamboo CTH-460 Tablet
Pioneer ELITE VSX-45 A/V Receiver
Sony Bravia KDL-32BX420 HDTV (Yes that's my monitor)
Corsair H2100 Headset
Audio-Technica ATH-M50 Headphones

In the Desk, my rig
[Image: DOLbKp9.jpg]
MB: Asus Z97-A
PSU: Corsair CX600M
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K @ Stock 4.00GHz
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
GPU: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 ACX 2.0
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 16GB DDR3-1866
ODD: Pioneer BDC-207DBK BD-ROM Drive
HDD: 2x 1TB Seagate Barracudas
SSD: 250GB Samsung 850 EVO
Case: Cooler Master HAF 922
OS: Windows 10 Pro x64

I'll be honest mine isn't as sophisticated as others (like Skullmeat's) but I like it. You're also wondering how my temps are in my rig with it in my desk, they're pretty good actually. Tested worst case scenario temps with stress-tests (AIDA64 for CPU + Heaven Benchmark with GPU), CPU never really goes over 60C, and GPU stays in the 70s.
