Jails allows me to test software that I may not want, and still keep my base OS clean and tidy. It is also easier to install than Debian and most linux distributions that I have tried before, as FreeBSD is an entire operating system. Since it is an entire operating system, it may be less modular, but it is more packed together and therefore everything works well together. FreeBSD can be a pain in the ass to configure (especially on my laptop, which I am using right now), but the hard work of fixing my sound, display, graphics, and networking was worth it. I recommend you, and other linux users, to switch to FreeBSD.
I feel that Linux has a kinda 'rough' feel. I mean, it's great, but lately idk.
OpenSUSE was nice, I'm in the process of setting it up again.
Haiku and OSX feel a lot cleaner in my opinion, I'm gonna be trying few BSDs soon.
EDIT: Now that I think about it, I have no idea what I was saying because Linux is fine. I think I just wish that Haiku worked.
