His website, which he dedicated to SE, is so good that the information on it is still relevant today, I still hope for his return, although I believe in it less and less every day

I just returned to this forum in order to find out what's happened to him and his blog. He was truly one of the greatest. He helped me a lot with his website and it's a pity he's gone. I haven't read all the messages in this thread, but have you thought about cross-checking his last login with any major news/scandal about some hacker getting caught? I don't know if it could make sense.

Also, any way to access his old website? It was a tremendous amount of help

He disappeared around August 18th of last year. I've checked an absurd amount of press releases from just about every 3-letter, but have yet to come across anything that is reminiscent of him. I do not believe he was a part of any major heists or groups that would warrant attention. That said, if he was involved in something of a larger scale - I wouldn't know.

You can still access his blog on the Wayback Machine.

So you did all that you could have done. Well, it is what it is. We can just hope he is alive and well. But to me, for what is worth, the hypothesis that he was arrested is still the most likely. Leaving all behind isn't something you do without a warning, in the way he supposedly did. Especially when you are already quite anonymous, as he still is. A goodbye message or something like that wouldn't have been a big deal. The fact that he removed his websites is another indicator of that fact. That is just speculation, of course.

Anyway, when I use the Wayback Machine I can't access to all the posts in the website and we can't use the search function. So, I was wondering if we can preserve his legacy somehow and remake his website or at least create some tutorials in this forum, based on the posts in his blog. Would that be a bad idea? Some people downloaded the entire website from what I have understood.

Been a bit since I checked, but I believe you can go back and view some of the pages (i.e. home page) chronologically.

If someone wants to repost the content, they have my full support.

Same person. Perhaps you can advise how to access his old posts.

I somehow doubt the arresting part. Mothered seemed to be on top of opsec, and he wasn't part of the professional refunding scene. But who knows? Maybe dude ran a crime syndicate in some other industry.

The website started getting unwanted attention when it gained popularity, probably got some content strikes too. It was taken down before mothered disappeared.

My guess is mothered started feeling the heat for whatever reason and wanted to disappear. Or something happened healthwise, which is the sucky option.

As I said, we can just speculate. The point is that we wouldn't realistically know if he was involved in some other group. I think the health-issue option is more probable than the fact he left everything behind without a goodbye. Time will tell I guess, maybe he'll come back if that's the case. Still, he will be missed.

I think Wayback Machine has been having trouble with hackers. I'm sure the archived version of the site in question will be accessible again soon.
