rain sounds/white noise. Really any repetitive, predictable sound for my mind to fixate on till I pass out from exhaustion. Melatonin pills when it gets too bad and I have a busy next day(don't recommend taking them more than once or twice a week. you'll become dependent ). CBD vape helps calm the nerves and anxiety. And last but not least, fixing your circadian rhythm. makes all the difference. consistency is key.

Zopiclone, when I need to sleep earlier than usual. I don't recommend getting addicted to it.

Can you list the meds or did they work?

A lot of this will depend on what type of mind we have or what we have going on in our lives and heads. If you figure out what you have going on, or if something works for you, stay with it. Don't get down on yourself or over anxious because you aren't sleeping, happens to all of us. Most of us have minds going a million miles an hour and it's hard to shut off, you have to remember to get the time in for yourself. I have tried a bunch of meds over the years, I think they all affect us differently, and the best thing I have found is routine, same times, regulate, after all that I can sleep well without anything, that's if I'm tired. I can sometimes put days in and be like , oh shit, I haven't slept in 2 or 3 days, and it's not healthy. Mind needs that rest. I just have a shit ton going on, that's me though.

Sound advice, and very well worded and explained.

The thing about Lofi is ive listened to way too much of it in high school and ive burnt myself out Lol. Music keeps me awake now

binaural beats / sleep wave videos or custom wave generators are a great alternative

A warm shower, white noise app and a body pillow. There is some evidence to suggest that they promote better sleep.

When I can’t fall asleep I turn on something on YouTube. Usually things I’m interested in (gaming, graphic design, science) then I’ll feel myself getting more tired and pass out eventually.
