I support open carry 100%.
There is nothing wrong with what he is doing.

I wish I could go around feeling completely safe because there are guns everywhere to scare away threats. Crime WOULD go down if civilians walked around with guns like that, I know I wouldn't try anything.

Was there a bill passed that I know nothing about? As far as I know, open carry is illegal in Texas. I think all states should allow open carry, since it lessens the burden on people that don't feel like hiding what they have. If a bill were passed in the state I live, I wouldn't need to wait 3 years to get a CHL.

I'm not too sure about this.
It's not all that safe, yet there must be reason to why this is still legal.

Ehhh... Just most citizens will be responsible, it doesn't mean all of them will.
Sure, you can give as many examples as you want of a law abiding citizen, but there's always going to be the people that fuck around - even if open carrying wasn't allowed.

I just gave it a second look. Apparently open carry of longer rifles is alright in Texas. It's handguns that you can't carry openly. You can, however, obtain a CHL. Some people have been detained for carrying rifles, regardless of if it is legal.
