I've been using Behringer HPM-1000s but unless your broke, don't get them. M50Xs are good, but my personal favorite...
...would be the AKG K240 studio headphones. They're kinda bulky so not the best for portability, but the sound and feel is beautiful.

My FAVORITE is Status Audio's CB-1. They are amazing and even better than Beats as they are more durable, sound better, and overall better.

I'm going to go with the Sennheiser HD25-1 II
They're not the cheapest set I've bought - about $230 when they were new - but my god they're a beautiful set to work with. For the good it's a bit of an audio improvement over the standard HD25s which were already great, not as accident-prone as the MDR7509/1s I used to run with, block out a good bit of background noise which is nice for when I'm playing synths, and just sound nice be it the hi-fi system/a show/gaming/editing video/general monitoring. The only major gripe I have is that they get a little tight after a few hours of use, but honestly with any sort of sound-isolating/monitor headphones that's how it just seems to be.

Just bought the Monoprice Monolith M560, let's hope I can refund it ('SE').
I'll let you guys know how they sound tomorrow or the day after.
EDIT: They are heavier than I expected.

Can't say I have ANY decent comparisons or knowledge of headphone quality. My favourites are purely based on the fact I've always been to poor to buy anything or try anything better. So far I personally like v-moda's m100s (not what I have currently). I know they're not the best out there, but they're the best I have had a chance to try. I'm also not too bothered about anything being that good since I merely have headphones for casual use.
