Turkey is quite attractive because of its ancient architecture, the heritage of the Ottoman, Byzantine and Roman empires.
It is also one of the few Muslim countries that one wants to visit

I have visited Turkey several times, the nature and history there are wondrous.

Turkey sounds awesome, but a lot of female friends of mine have warned off going, or at least, recommended not going alone.

I do not believe anyone should travel around the world solo except for first-world countries.

The United Arab Emirates has a plethora of unique sightseeing locations. I would be very interested in trying their desert safari experience.

Very true! Though I know quite a number of people who have done the "solo backpacking across Europe" style thing. Ofc all male. No diss intended, as I don't really think it's safe for anyone to go alone, but I suppose those lads were fine thankfully.
