I don't know shit about video cards other than I used to have the PNY one until it burnt out and I will have the money to buy it in about a week.

It depends on your monitor.

Yes, you could probably adapt it, but why not just find a card in the same range that supports your monitor, so you get the full experience?

My monitor has rbg and hdmi.

Games that aren't that new, I had the 9800 and it played almost everything I wanted, it just burnt out. I'm using shitty onboard video. I'm not much of a gamer but I like the option sometimes. I can get the card for free anyway,

And pci-e 2.0 cards in that general price range with DHMI that can be found on amazon, as I'll be getting it refunded.
