From what I gathered, it's extremely harsh and goes way past defending game companies.

More foreign and domestic investment for them lol
But this is too much, but do they have a task force for this, and i dont think anytime soon law-enforcing authorities are going to take it very serious.
If its a matter of proving somebody's illegal activity then it will be difficult, or a friend could send his 'friend' to jail.

So crazy. I wonder how often it will be enforced.

They've got some weird laws over there. That's why if I'm traveling anywhere I read up some of the major laws. Culture is also a big thing. Things you do in America where I live, can mean something else over there.

I was advised to consider other cultures as "different, not weird"... However, I am struggling to understand this law. It seems far too extreme. It's fair to disallow modding, but the punishment is simply ridiculous in my opinion.
I feel like there are plenty of people who learn skills and express some creativity when modding consoles/games. I'm assuming/hoping this doesn't apply to modding games when that's an open function of the game. For example, Funcom supports modding and developed Conan Exiles to allow for modding. They openly advertise/stream their community's mods.
