Used Games on the Next-Gen Consoles

Hey guys,

Well there's been tons of talk about being able to use 'used' games on the PS4 and the Xbox 720; so PS4 have clarified that used games WILL be allowed on the PS4, here is the statement:

Quote:"The general expectation by consumers is, if they purchase physical form, they want to use it everywhere, right? So that's my expectation," he said to Eurogamer Editor, Tom Bramwell.

He further clarified Sony's position by stating, "used games can play on PS4."

I will update this thread, once I have some news/rumours on the topic to do with the 720.

What are you talking about? I was reading on T3 and I came across it so I decided to make a thread to inform the users.

No the PS4 DOES NOT support PS3 games, this thread means that if you buy a pre-owned game, you will be able to use it. As there was some talk that a Game would be locked to your system.

Very cool. Unfortunately I heard that PS4 will not support PS3 games.

Hence my attraction to Xbox.

If the xbox 720 didn't support 360 games it would hit the company hard. People are not looking to repurchase there whole game collection just for a better version of the console.

I'm sure it will still be able to play games from the xbox 360 console. Just the fact that it most likely won't support live support for both systems.

Like if you're playing on the xbox 360 you won't be able to play with users only people with a xbox 360.

Same thing with the new console you can only play with other new console people and not the old ones.

Sense live profiles will most likely be different.

Maybe not, xbox did have the fat 360 then upgraded it to the slimmer version of it and users could still play together. It would put a huge damper on things if you had to switch consoles just to play on a older game.
