A Neon that is capable of 600HP with a stock bottom end, that is reliable and has affordable replacement parts, that will tear any 4 cylinder in its class a new asshole assuming there is not an idiot driver.

I seen Neons pushing 1000+ totally destroying Honda K20s at the strip.

Don't underestimate a Neon because all it takes is the right owner with some brains and a little bit of money and you ain't touching it.

So, there is absolutely nothing wrong with FWD.

This is one of the things that makes me mad with people in the car world, they say oh its FWD it's junk oh it's automatic so it's junk. No it's not junk it is just another class of car enthusiasts.

You can still have fun in FWD, you can also have fun in automatics.

Neon's are good for setting up as drag cars, they are good for rallying in fact Neon's are actually popular rally cars, they are good circuit cars if you put a few hundred into the suspension and a decent set of tires, They are good cruisers which cruising is actually gaining popularity again, and if you want to get stupid and risk it they can be good power sliders as well considering they have hand brakes, they are also good daily drivers.

And most FWD cars can be good at the same above.

Is FWD optimal? know but it is fun, it has a purpose and it is very usable.

I can make up some legit reasons why RWD and manual trans could be better but I really just like that combo because I can hoon in a way that FWD can't. I just like drifting and doing burnouts with the rear tires. I also think drag radials look better in the rear than the front.

It is your personal preference, like what you want to like but don't hate on the others just because they are not optimal for what you do. This is what I tell everybody.

as for manual vs automatic they both have benefits and they both have downsides.
