What are your thoughts about going to university to learn Software Engineering instead of just paying for some bootcamp, courses and certifications to learn how to code and be able to do a software dev type of job.
Do you think having a university degree still holds more power when applying to a job?

fuck a bootcamp/course/etc allat shit is free online bruh. if u want placements with companies i suggest school cuz thats the only real way to get them

A school will get you reputation, build charisma, allow you to make connections, etc. Online courses are BS, we've all tried them at some point. Who wants to hire someone with a 10 day coding degree. Just my opinion.

Imo school is the best when it comes to getting into the industry easily, they often have events where the companies present themselves and you can talk to the people there and land an interview right away

School isn't just about learning and building skills. Your degree is extremely valuable in getting a job.
