Yeah, I suppose It's not all the hospital's fault.

A lot of public hospitals need public funding and no matter how little the cost of renting their TV may be, every little bit helps towards providing better facilities.

The hospital i was at had no connections what soever to the TV Company.

To order the TV you ring the company up and tell them which hospital, ward and bed number you are and they active the TV once the payments approved.

All the funds go to the Company.

In my case, It was the hospital that dealt with the payments (they were directly asking me for the payment) and not the TV company. I suppose It differs from one hospital to the next.

Must be, i'm pretty sure all hospitals are very similar where i live (QLD).

NSW seems to be different. That said, I haven't been In many hospitals, so I'm more so speculating. It could've been a one-off experience for myself.

I think I'm going to opt for private hospital cover. Aside from selecting the doctor and hospital of choice, at least I'll get to have my own room and all facilities Inclusive.

Of course, It depends on the provider, the age and health of the Individual and the type of cover. I need to weigh up my options and see what suits best. It may well be that It won't be worthy of the cost.

No I don't, and I believe you're correct that It does cover some costs.

I haven't looked Into It In detail, but from what I gather, life Insurance seems too expensive.
