Golem here, in this little tutorial I will write out how to increase the security on your pc, along with increasing your browser speed and also help on removing all the unneeded things on your computer that could be slowing it down.


First off, browse over to: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Now before we go any further, if your hosts file is already modified for cracking programs or something follow this:

1. Open your hosts file in a text editor, I use Notepad++ just because of how easy it is.
2. Copy and paste everything from HERE into your hosts file and save it.


Now if your hosts file is unmodified and has never been touched follow this:
Copy and paste everything from HERE into a notepad and name it "Hosts" without the quotations of course, then drag it into C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC and replace the existing file. Doing this will remove ads from any programs that you have that have ads always popping up, if you still sed ads popping up after you do this just restart it and it will stop them from popping up.


Doing this will actually increase your security as random ads won't show and attempt to download spyware if they do, it also prevents tracking cookies and all that junk as well as increase your browsing speed since it will not load them at all.

That's pretty neat haha, I haven't met anyone who uses that yet.

Isn't an add blocker just adding one more thing to your PC, meaning a higher CPU usage?
Anyways, this is if you don't want to download anything and just want to use things that are already on the PC.
