This isn't much of a tutorial but I had no idea where else to put this.

Homoglyph - In orthography and typography, a homoglyph is one of two or more graphemes, characters, or glyphs with shapes that appear identical or very similar (Source: Wikipedia).

Doing this does require that whatever you're typing into accepts unicode characters, me and @Ayumi used this to spam stuff like "I fucking hate niggers" on Town of Salem which is a game with a strict word filter.

1. Go to http://www.irongeek.com/homoglyph-attack-generator.php
2. Type in whatever you're wanting to say
3. Choose the most similar looking characters (homoglyphs) for the word that's being filtered
4. Copy the new string and paste it wherever you like

Protip - you only need to change one character in the word being filtered and it will go right by the filter, so pick the character with the most similar looking matches for the best result.

There's a certain role in the game which actually requires you to get killed in order to win, that's why we spammed that -- it's the easiest way to get lynched.

Not by default. You could make the argument that any string replacing/checking function can wreck this, but do you think it's common for developers to think about non-printable characters when making input forms not guarded by functions like ctype_alnum?
