Hello everyone, I hope your doing good today I wanted to share a video from YouTube that helped me a lot before with my low pc. I hope this will be useful to someone! Even more it will definitely save time because this is all you need to make your pc run better.

Make sure you don't disable/remove Windows updates or Microsoft Edge. Disabling either of the two can cause problems. I know that Windows updates can be annoying, but it's always a good idea to stay as up-to-date as possible. If you don't stay up-to-date, this can cause an infinite loop of updates that will take days to fix. Sometimes even needing a reinstall. And removing, or attempting to remove Microsoft Edge can completely bork updates (see here).

And if you're comfortable tweaking settings in your BIOS, you can check out CPU undervolting and RAM timings. If you have a free weekend, this can be 100% free performance.

This reminded me of when I was trying to overclock my rasp pi 4. You see the rasp pi is horribly slow when it comes to a lot of operating systems. Mostly The Chrome lagged LOTS, and I mean LOTS. The only OS that ran fast on Rasp pi 4 is Kali. Ever since, I only use Kali Linux on my rasp pi. (Unless I want to play some retro games then I switch out the SD cards)

Well, overclocking your CPU is different from undervolting it. CPU manufacturers add extra voltage to the CPU that isn't always necessary, to prevent crashing. And if you undervolt correctly, your CPU temps could drop by 10-20 degrees celsius.

You probably shouldn't be using Kali as a daily driver if you aren't pen-testing. Try something like Linux Lite

I get what your saying. However, I do use kali tools too. Let me explain more (I wasn’t descriptive enough)
I use my pi for web dev, especially for when I’m on the go or at college on campus. I don’t want to mix up my schoolwork and leisure time projects. With that said, kali Linux was the best OS for my pi. Also, I like the tools that come on kali! I can pass time by testing websites for vuln’s.
But yeah I think I tried Linux lite (perhaps I didn’t like it?) I tried more than 10 linux distro’s. Kali was the only thing I cam back to every time!

I use Windows Defender, so Windows updates are essential for me. And with all of the exploits going around like Log4J, I prefer to keep my system updated.

And the way I see it, Windows is for bloat, my Gentoo install is for minimalism.
