uTorrent, unless it's changed recently, is still one of the clients that accepts settings for proxies, but ignores them for the most part.

I did not know that, but what is the point of a proxy if you're on a VPN?

Great tutorial, although I just use Vuze. It's really simple for what I do.

Vuze, I've never heard of that, and I'm to lazy to Google it. What is it?

A torrenting program. Better than uTorrent IMO.

In the event that your caught torrenting on Tor, the logs will be handed right over to the feds. So It's not really to secure to.
The odds of you getting arrested by the feds is like Kony being found in 2012.

I use BTguard, which is a premium proxy to keep myself anonymous. Then I use checkmytorrentip.com to make sure its working. I only download from private trackers as well.

He was just trying to help. No need to be so negative.
I'm sure there were some people who didn't know the fundamentals of this, plus if somebody searches the right thing in Google, it may bring up this page on AF, hence bringing in traffic and possibly decent members.
Plus, that's like me saying somebody who doesn't know SQLi shouldn't be on a hacking forum. People can't be expected to know everything on a certain topic.
And also, this is a place for learning.
