Fundamentally I feel like stuff like this always comes back to how much control should the government have over keeping people safe? Seatbelts save many lives but they are technically an intrusion by government since I don't hurt anyone other than myself if I choose not to wear a seatbelt... same basic thinking here, does the government have the right to mandate safety measures that only affect us?

I'm not supporting the use of e-cigs, but this is just a complete waste of time. You might as well ban the sale of e-cigs all together. If someone's already hooked, or they think vaping is cool, they're just not going to use flavored cartridges. I don't see a major reason to not ban the flavored cartridges thought. It may curb some use, but not all of it.

I personally vape and it pisses me off a bottle of oil that is 20$ is going to cost 30-35 once is drops so that means i make my own or work with some owners to make a deal and its not even nicotine vape killing peps its the black market thc tax that the crap that started it but you know juul is exempt from the tax so get your pod at a discount.

This possible ban makes me so angry! First of all, more testing and research needs to be done before they do this. They need to verify which products are actually making people sick. Because from what I've heard, it's mostly thc vape products and black market or modified vapes and juices.
I personally quit smoking cigarettes in 2012 thanks to finding electronic cigarettes. I have been using blu cigs since 2012. I use the flavored ones. I've never gotten sick. Their nicotine levels are much lower than others such as juul. I think it's a bit safer. I just heard that where I live in NJ they're trying to ban all electronic cigarettes /vaping! I swear I'll move. In the United Kingdom, they made a statement saying they'd never ban Ecigs /vaping because no matter what, it's still safer and less dangerous than smoking cigarettes.
