I learned C++ from Udemy, same as @PLX-2M suggested. Also recommend reading this book to understand just C, it's my current WIP

There's probably a C++/C book at your local library, go read 50 pages a week

Just make sure you apply what you learn. There no point reading tons of info if you are going to forget it all in a week or so. So make sure you practice what you have learnt and set your self challenges . but make sure you practice at least once a day, doesn't have to be hours of practice or anything but just enough to keep all the info fresh in your head.

Practice Practice Practice, also try not to use external libraries such as boost, they are usually crazy bloated, and will only obscure what is actually happening. You will have cleaner programs and learn a lot more if you stay away from them.

http://www.cplusplus.com/reference/ is an amazing resource for looking up built in supplied libraries and functions, complete with examples for each.

This might not mean anything to you now but if your using the 11 or 14 standard you can do away with defining iterators and use auto with a for loop such as for(auto c : line){} , just try not to abuse auto.

Also as soon as you get the basics down learn about pointers and how to use them. You don't want to be copying data constantly if you don't need to.
