Tips for a beginner? #1
I've decided since i'm going to school for Android development, i'm going to start learning C++ on my own time. My question is if anyone has any tips for me?
Tips, Books, Videos, Articles. ect. anything would be great.

Thank you.

Here's a site I thought was helpful.
http://www.cprogramming.com/

Getting Started with C or C++ <= setting up a compiler... etc.
C++ Tutorial

There is also a book. (can't vouch for it though - haven't read it)
http://www.cprogramming.com/c++book/?inl=hl

Tip: You should be able to learn C++ completely only with free online resources. (unless you're a book person)

Here's a tip for you as well as anyone looking to learn something new - never buy a book. Everything is online for free.

I agree, unless people learn better by reading from a book more than by reading from a screen. (idk why anyone would though xD )

I know this has nothing to do with C++,

But it is a website me, myself found to be a nice learning experience, and found it quite fun.

Most of this you can find with a google search,

http://irpp.org/wp-content/uploads/sites...ed-C++.pdf Accelerated C++

http://www.angelfire.com/art2/ebooks/tea...21days.pdf Teach yourself c++ in 21 days, this one i have quite enjoyed but it doesn't always go into everything in too much detail like some other books do. Maybe its just me though.

http://faculty.euc.ac.cy/scharalambous/c...ok%201.pdf - C++ primer, this is a really good book for beginning too.

Good luck with learning c++, it does take some patience but if your determined then im sure its not an issue.

Google is your best friend,

That's what my teacher always said when I asked how to program a part.
