When all you're feeling is pure anger, you don't feel any physical pain. You're possessed by hatred. You naturally utilise more fast twitch muscle fibres due to the adrenaline. This said, I agree that taking a more passive and tactical approach will be beneficial in most cases.

I understand what you are saying but, regardless you feel pain or not due to hatred and adrenaline you can still get knocked the fuck out and when you are angry the last thing you want to do is stop to take cover. Then again if both fighters are angry and have adrenaline rush that will not be a fight but a full angry mess.

He knew how to get things done while being pissed trying to get his daughter, and in that sense it can still be a useful emotion.

LMAO I am talking about real anger and not Hollywood anger. Shit if it were for that then remember Rambo? He was angry and ran with a 50. Caliber sniper while shooting it.

Well as fake as the anger was in that movie, it can be put into real life situations..I'm just saying some angry people know how to use it correctly, and get things done right.

That can be true but, then again it wouldn't be pure anger and hate. I am talking about that blinding rage.

Anger may not be as useful now as it was back in the days of fight or flight, but it still has its place. Anger is a huge motivator for people. If you are displeased with something, anger will focus you on improving whatever it may be. It lets you know a change needs to happen. In conjunction with many angry people, huge changes (for the better) can happen. For example, gay rights, blacks equality, female equality... etc. Anger doesn't always have to be released as pure hatred. As those are different things.

Anger may not be ideal for fighting, but I would argue that in other dangerous/intense situations in comes in handy. Situations where you need a quick relief from pain to escape, or defeat an obstacle. All the adrenaline produced may save your life.

Anger can drive you to finish things or start new things. It isn't all that bad of a thing. I recently started getting back into shape and working out because of my anger.

I kinda agree, I think that when you're angry, you're not quite controlled, you don't think correctly, and just want to break everything in place.

Anger is like any other emotion. It's there for a reason.

Look at disgust and fear. We might be able to live a better life in this modern world without either, but they're there for survival purposes. If we didn't have disgust, we wouldn't have any idea what food is good or bad based on smell or appearance. And fear, if we didn't have it, people would walk off cliffs out of curiosity.

Now, take a look at anger. Anger can be useful after you've been betrayed. You won't go back to that person and get betrayed again. Or, for frustration purposes: if you didn't get angry or frustrated, you could be doing the same task wrong hundreds of times and never think of changing your method due to the lack of motivation out of frustration.

We could probably live without many things in our self, but that doesn't mean it has no purpose or reason to be there.

When I am wrong I am wrong. Good, I don't think I have blatantly lost a topic like this one before. Serves me right for not thinking about it and just mindlessly writing. Thanks guys.

I think it's hard to say you're blatantly wrong. You definitely do make a valid point in that reacting to stimuli through an act of anger would be far less appropriate today than it would have 200 years ago.
