Is that like a Bonzi Buddy alternative? Oh the memories with Bonzi Buddy.

Microsoft Personal Web Server, from Windows98 from the looks of it.

You can read a bit about it here: http://www.windowsnetworking.com/j_helmig/w98pws.htm

Netscape was the thing back then, also.

The wizard character thing sort of threw me off. I thought it was some other form of Bonzi Buddy used as spyware.

Off topic, the memories of using Netscape. I remember It quite well.

On topic, @ theOP, just to touch base with you, how's everything now?

Never really had much of an issue with Netscape tbh. Compared to how IE turned out.

Neither did I with Netscape.

From what I remember, for It's time, It was quite stable and responsive. In my experience, earlier versions of IE were okay but In the recent years, It took a backward step. I got sick of It's crashes and not displaying webpages etc. That said, It's surprising as to the amount of companies that still utilize IE.

Changing browsers would require massive overhauls for some of them, as their stuff was developed only with IE in mind.

It's also something easily regulated, as a default on the computer.

When I worked in retail, they decided to switch to Chrome, and everyone could then be on Facebook past the block, install addons, etc.

Update:
The computer OP was fixing was actually using AI and once it was formatted (or so he thought) the computer had enough room to begin working on a new program and when OP touched the keyboard, he was shocked and is now ded. The end.

True.

My work was using IE for many years, and only until recent when a new server was Installed and configured with all applications and the like, did they switch to alternate browsers.
