I guess but most people don't like having coords strung across the room due to them tangling and stuff.

#1, Specialist, you have to think about it from a designers point of view brah. Its the portability of a CONSOLE, with the graphics and internal power of a PC. Whats better than that?!?!

#2, I'm definitely buying this!

The PS4 and Xbox are going to go for a PC architecture... Also, we don't know the size of the PS4 nor the Xbox yet, so the Steambox could in reality be bigger than them.

Come on now Specialist, me and you both know that Sony and Microsoft have ALWAYS made their systems the size of a laptop! Why would they start trying to go smaller? That's about the right size for all the stuff they put into their consoles.

BUT!, The Steam Box might have less things in it, since you dont really need a Disc Drive and a HDD when it stores memory in a INTERNAL chip and then you're playing games that are downloaded onto the chip Smile

people can hide their cable behind furniture for example.

maybe?, maybe the Steambox waits until the other next-gen consoles are going to be released.

Even if they wait it won't help them they'd have to redesign the whole outside of it if they wanted it to be smaller and most likely change things and that means more time and money.

That is a true point, they wont have a disk drive/blu ray drive, so that means less room, but they are rumoured to be using a 1TB HDD, which will be pretty expensive if it's a 2.5" SATA which it most likely will be. Also, if they manage to get the PS4/Xbox/Steambox around the same size as the Wii, then that would be amazing to be honest.

Yea, it would be amazing. But you also have to remember that's ONE of the multiple reason's the Wii sucks. They just crammed as much shit as they could into it, and didn't care if it was anything worth putting in. A shit GFX card, terrible form of storage(I think you get my point).

If they are using a 2.5 inch, the biggest it could get is about as big as you're average remote control for your television if they manage, and the biggest it would HAVE to get is as big as a Wii MINI.

Considering that Sony are using 8GB RAM, that means that you're going to need some length in there, unless they use SODIMM slots, which would still mean a decent amount of depth. Also, a 2.5" SATA drive is about the size of an iPhone 5.
