The Walking Dead Fascination #1
I have spoken about my love for the TV show, Dexter, on forums before and almost every response I got was that if I loved Dexter, then I would love Th Walking Dead. At the time i knew that The Walking Dead was about zombies, so I failed to make the connection in the way that it was like Dexter.

The other day I finally gave The Walking Dead a chance, watched the first season and halfway through season 2, and quite frankly I have to say that the show is nothing on Dexter. The Walking Dead is a really slow show at times, and I don't feel like any of the characters are particularly drawing either.

Do you like The Walking Dead? If so, what is the fascination?

I love The Walking Dead. For me it's just constantly action packed, the characters are played excellently, the general story line etc. are all perfect.

I've never been able to get into Dexter however.

It's like a drug watching that show. You want more and more. And it supplies you more.

Are you kidding me? LOL! How much did you watch before you gave up? With The Walking Dead, I feel like I gave the show more than ample chance to show me something impressive, and nothing impressive presented itself to me.

The show is waaaaayyy to slow. Shane is probably the only interesting character, and I don't like him or relate to him. The show is pretty lacking in my book. I did enjoy the finale in season 1 though. I liked the tension in the last few minutes of the finale.

I got up to around the final episodes of season 1 and couldn't find myself enjoying the show or getting excited, I decided to stop watching.

Shane is a great character, but he definitely isn't the best. I like T-Dog in all honesty, it's a shame what happens to him though.

Is T-Dog the black guy? If he is, then I already have some idea of what happens to him lol. I watch Youtube reviews for shows that I watch and a few of the reviewers were reviewing The Walking Dead, which was another reason why I decided to give The Walking Dead a chance. I did hear something about a few of the black characters getting killed, before I turn ed the review off and sought to download the first episode.

Yeah, sorry if I spoiled it; I wasn't thinking. He unfortunately dies and saves the others by doing so.

*Flicks wrist dismissively* don't worry about it Biggrin I already knew what was coming for him, because one of the reviewers that I listen to spilled those guts before I even started watching it lol. I am in two minds as to whether to continue with watching The Walking Dead or not. People have told me that I haven't watched enough to really appreciate how good it it, but I think that a season and a half should be enough to suck me in, right?

Or does it get better?

It's great, honestly. I was hooked after the first few episodes, but I guess it can take other people longer to get stuck right in.

I love the Walking Dead! At first I was not really all that interested in the show because it was such a big craze for fans all over the world and I felt like if I watched it too I would just be another face in the crowd but my husband was watching it one night and I couldn't seem to take my eyes off of the television. Needless to say, I loved it not only because the characters were all part of a team as well as great characters individually but also the story line and the fact that it was about zombies and not some kind of virus hitting the earth.
