Hey guys,

So, I saw this story on BBC News.

Let me put this into perspective.

Pakistan is the only country in the world that still has Polio.
The reason is because the Taliban stop the Polio vaccination teams entering Pakistan to give vaccines.
The reason they do this is because they see the vaccination teams as a cover for international espionage.
Now they've bombed a vaccination team killing 11 people that were just trying to save their shitty lives.

What's your view on this?

If I were trying to spy on a third world country, you bet your ass I would embed sources in vaccine clinics. They can go pretty much anywhere, and probably hear lots of gossip.

Seriously though, stopping vital medicine getting to people because of suspicions? Pakistan's not a super power. Not even close. It's just a small, corrupted, country, that thinks too highly of itself.

They probably believe that anything a possible espionage team could get is worth more than saving lives.

Thats so true. The situation there is so bad cause their politicians are as filthy as dirt & turn blind eyes towards issues like polio while they busy trading with members of the Taliban

& These Taliban are now ceasing fire for a month giving the Govt an ultimatum after the 11 people killing incident

You guys do realize that not every culture is well-suited to national government, right? The native peoples of the middle-east are very nomadic and tribal. The Taliban happens to be very popular as the "named" power for villages, as they represent conservative, religious values.
