The State of Gaming 07-29-2023, 07:28 PM
#1
Is anyone else completely fed up with the state of modern gaming? I am so tired of half-assed releases and unfinished bug-ridden games that now cost 70 USD, all with the promise "we will fix it later" and then you have games years later with the same bugs because of shit devs. For example, I am playing the first Watch_Dogs game on PC and one of the main missions is bugged to where you hack into a guy's house and it transfers you to the "hacking" minigame but in the process it loads the guy inside the house and deletes the floor under him so he no-clips through and falls though the map and dies failing the mission. That game has been out for YEARS and it is still bugged because of the state of the gaming development. Fuck Fortnite, EA, and all the rest of the industry that incorporated battle passes, microtransactions, and development rushing that has destroyed how games are now created.

Yeah everything is about money and needs to come out now now now, I hate it. I actually get excited when I hear a game is delayed because I'm hopeful that means they're trying to put in the time and work to make it good.

Same with you on that opinion. Unfinished games on delivery or undelivered promises.
The other thing is the amount of cheaters in Modern shooter games. The cheat dev vs game development is just something else.

Most games are also longer than they need to be now. A bunch of stupid chores to extend run time. Maybe I just have less time these days.
