The Best Long Life Batteries 05-06-2016, 08:02 PM

So a little while ago, I had another pair of Duracell coppertop batteries die in my XBOX One Controller. After replacing them so much, I decided it was time to try a new brand. I went on to the web, and oddly, there wasn't much empirical study on batteries. I did however find http://www.batteryshowdown.com and decided to take a look.
Here are their results:
Low Drain: http://www.batteryshowdown.com/results-lo.html
High Drain: http://www.batteryshowdown.com/results-hi.html
The clear winner here is the Energizer Ultimate Lithium, which I went out and bought.
Here's the kicker though, and 8 pack is $20 USD at my local store. I popped two of them into my controller and have been using it constantly for about 2-3 weeks now, and windows still marks the battery as full.

So, what are your experiences with batteries? Do you think the extra cost is worth it?
