The Best Long Life Batteries - Skullmeat - 05-06-2016

So a little while ago, I had another pair of Duracell coppertop batteries die in my XBOX One Controller. After replacing them so much, I decided it was time to try a new brand. I went on to the web, and oddly, there wasn't much empirical study on batteries. I did however find http://www.batteryshowdown.com and decided to take a look.

Here are their results:
Low Drain: http://www.batteryshowdown.com/results-lo.html
High Drain: http://www.batteryshowdown.com/results-hi.html

The clear winner here is the Energizer Ultimate Lithium, which I went out and bought.
Here's the kicker though, and 8 pack is $20 USD at my local store. I popped two of them into my controller and have been using it constantly for about 2-3 weeks now, and windows still marks the battery as full.

So, what are your experiences with batteries? Do you think the extra cost is worth it?

In terms of battery life, Duracell were very good many years ago.

As of recent years, they seem to have declined with their longevity. As a result, I too, have opted for Energizer which has served me very well thus far. As the cliche goes: "You get what you pay for". In the majority of cases, I believe that's true to It's word.
