10/10 @Maxx u mad bro??

Welcome to the community @Jester we don't currently have much in the way of Android development here but we do have lots of other things to get you going. Which aspect of it are you interested in, developing apps, or maybe custom roms and such? Either way we may be able to get you started.

Developing apps would be interesting so Im guessing c++??

RE: Sup!! #15
Yes C++ is an option but as far as I know (and someone will be along shortly to correct me if I'm wrong) Java is the most used language so that would be worth getting to know. Happily they are both popular languages on this forum and so there's a lot of information about both of these.

I also found this and thought you might be interested (if you have not already seen it)

Welcome to the community Jester!

I would very much agree with @chmod on the fact that you should start Mobile Development (Particularly Android) using Java since it's widely used and suits that purpose well. Of course that doesn't stop you from doing C++, since you are a beginner so I would recommend you go with Java. But if you are an ABSOLUTE beginner (No programming background) have a go with Python to build it up Smile

Thanks! I have little experience but not much so probs focus on java and python. Would you recomend doing both or sticking with one?? ie just learning java?

RE: Sup!! #18
Python is very good for learning the concepts of programming and so is what most would suggest for a first language, it's also quite useful for doing a wide variety of things so it's functional too. You could however go straight into Java and some people do you shouldn't have any problems in doing so but may find it easier with Python.

I wouldn't really suggest trying to start both at the same time though if you don't have much experience as you might find yourself getting confused with the different syntax and end up using Java's syntax with Python for example (or vice versa) have a look at some of the code in the forum and see how each is structured then make a decision from there.

RE: Sup!! #19
If you end up learning Python, @Jester, I'd recommend setting up IDLE (a Python interpreter), trying out an interactive-based learning website called CodeCademy, and this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAKC75vMOx0

I found that those three things used together gave me a pretty good understanding of basic Python. Oh, and I almost forgot... If I were you, I would try reading some of the guides/lessons here on HackCommunity before any of that just so you know what you're getting into.

RE: Sup!! #20
Thanks @chmod think I will focus on Java to save some time. Out of interest how similar are the two? Incase I want to learn some python too.
